Our Origin: From Community to Academy
Lead With Skills began in 2020 as an exclusive network of practitioners—'Design Sundays'—where professionals could trade insights on system design and architecture.
We quickly realized a systemic issue: Most "bootcamps" were being taught by career trainers who hadn't shipped production code in years. Graduates were learning outdated syntax, not engineering principles.
We decided to institutionalize our mentorship. We replaced "trainers" with active practitioners. We replaced "assignments" with live production simulations.
Today, we function less like a school and more like a distributed engineering team. We prepare our members not just to pass interviews, but to excel in the roles they land.
